Default What could it be??

Ok, so I've been sick and haven't been on very much. Back to the old 67 questions again. I have a 67 Mustang with a 351W currently in the shop.
What has been going on with it...
I took it to the shop because it was missing bad, I knew it wasn't the distributor or wires or anything.
While it was there, they did a compression test and found that the #2 cylinder had NO compression. It didn't smoke or anything.
This engine is brand new, he said it has alot of valve tran noise in it, like more than it should I supposed. It is a complete adjustable roller rocker system with a cam with the following specs:
adv dur 262int 270exh
dur @ .050 218int 224exh LSA 110
valve lift .493int .500exh

I'm not going to pay him at least another 400 just to try and determine what it is with no guarantees, so does anyone have any ideas? Can a stuck valve really make it so the cylinder has ZERO compression? Could a lock have just come off? Thanks guys in advance, I'm at a loss.

I would pull the valve covers and look at that cylinders valves to see if you can spot the problem.

pull valve cover on that side.if you used rollers they should come with poly locks should'nt come lose but they could. with cover off turn motor over and see if the cam went flat on that hole.cause if the intake valve dont open it will not have compression no air in no air to compress
hope thats not it
good luck

how long does an engine have to be ran roughly for a lobe to go flat on the cam?

to prevent a flat cam, you want to get some racing oil to break in the engine along with some comp cams break in lube. joe gibbs oil is what we use at our work to break in the engines on our dyno.

I mean I did the cam break in, and had plenty of the comp cam lube on it when I put it in.

I really doubt that youo flattened a cam, but, you could have. How many miles are on this motor? Most likely...you stuck a valve. Like said already, you need to pull the cover to find out. Takes like 10 minutes. Make sure the valves open and close fully on that cylinder.

There is like 5 miles on this engine, everything is new. It's been run maybe a total of like 30 minutes. But like I said, everything on this engine is new.

I would look for a stuck valve then. When I did mine, it ran for like 3 minutes before it started missing and popping. Turned out to be all the exhaust valves stuck from being machined too tight. You should be able to see it if you pull a cover.

Ok, sounds good. How hard of a fix is that?
