Question Steering adjustment

I have a 66 that I just rebuilt the steering module on. It has a new steering ram (not re-built). When I started it up it will turn to the right, but when you let go of the wheel it turns all the way left on its own. Did I get something wrong? Do I need to adjust the nut on the end of the spool bolt?

It will do this if you have your hoses backwards. A steering wheel spoke could break your wrist if you start it with the hoses on wrong, so take care.

After reading another thread, the advice was "you did something wrong". So I removed the complete linkage and took it all apart again. The only thing I changed was the spool inside the control module. I flipped it around and re-installed it. There is a small keyway on the inside of one end. On the same end is a small groove down in the last valley. I do not know what they do. But it works great now! If it helps anyone else, the keyway goes to the outside of the control module. Thanks
