Default Griffin vs. Northern

Which company makes a better aluminum radaitor? Both make a repacement rad for my car. the griffing is about 100 dollars more. is there a quality or performance difference between the two. here are the specs

Griffin 7-568BC-CAX $550

Core 2 row 1 1/4 in tubes
24" x 20" x 2.5

Northern NOR-205137 $450
Core 2 row 1" tubes
25 1/8 x 20 x 2.25"

Has anybody used either of these?

I have the norther direct replacement 2 core. Never had an issue with it I love it.

works great even in 110+F summers.

Thanks for the input. I have the saddle mounts for the 24" radiator. I just bought the Griffin because I have heard it fits the shoud and brackets better, and the oem style tank keeps things from looking too custom. also i looked on griffins website and they are all full welded with epoxy used only for additional strength at the joints. it will be here friday so we will see. also is there a significant advantage to gioing from a stock water pump to a high volume one at idle/low rpms?

Im not sure if the replacement cost more then a universal but i paid $180 for my universal Northern. We just went to a HUGE car show with a cruise route and my car idled around the cruise route at about 175* for about 45 minutes per trip on a 90+* day.

+1

Check SumittRacing or ebay, these Northern rads are nice, and a great American made value for Mustangs.

Our is a direct bolt in on the 66 and cools the 408 without issue.
