The seller/owner posted this thing in half a dozen different places over on the VMF saying it was a rare piece for a "California Special Shelby Mustang." [:@]

Actually, it's an over-the-counter piece from 1966. Most commonly called the "lighted pony corral." It came on with the headlights and the horse made a silhouette in the lighted area. Not very popular back in the day, and was even outlawed by California and a few other states. There were some really cheap, incorrect knock-offs made in the 80s - in different colors yet - that kinda diluted the market. If you want one these days, there's always the chance you'll end up with one of the cheapie knock-offs. But if you've got an actual Ford piece, I suppose it may be a good conversation piece and will be considered "correct" in most shows.
