Ok I am going to go for the conversion. I just got a steel of a deal on the front and rear brakes off a 03 GT. Are these the same brakes as the Cobra and will they work with the kit?
Thanks in advance.

Why don't you ask Steve. He's a nice guy...lives down the road from me.

trackorstreet.com does not sem to exist. I that the correct address?
Are the basic GT brakes a good upgrade over just the stock drums? I was going to use the mustangsteve brackets for it. I am getting the front and rear brakes for $200. I will probably upgrade to slotted rottors off ebay.

I could be wrong, but I didn't think that the GT and Cobra calipers were interchangeable. As you'll see, the Cobra calipers have become quite spendy, which may have been why Steve developed the '05-'09 kit.

Either way, I'm talking out my rear. I don't know anything about streetortrack.com, but have been completely satisfied with all my Mustangsteve products. Like James said, give him a shout. He is very good at answering questions about his products posted to his board.

Good luck!

The 05 gt brakes are 12 and a half inch rotors the cobra ones are 13 inch rotors front. There ok brakes i rather use the cobra once since the bigger rotor but for a tiny bit more you can get wilwood 4 piston and 13 inch rotors. But with either mustang brakes you can get rotors and pads from any auto parts store.
