I removed the mufflers and put glasspacks on but i still hear the tick tick of exhaust leaks. Does anyone know where I can get some hipo FE ex manifolds for the fullsize car heads? 289 manifolds are reasonable and will get them if I keep the 289. Unfortunately headers seem to be the only option for the FE, as the stock manifolds flow so poorly and supposedly dont fit because the upper bolts hit the shock towers.</P>

are you using copper headergaskets? If your not then use them, they will cure your problem.

 

use graphite or copper gaskets...the leaks will be gone
