holley design differences
HI,
I am rebuilding a used holley 750 vacuum secondary. It has center hung float bowls and dual inlets.
The bowls are totally gummed up and it is going to take a while to clean it all up.
I have a donor carb in the garage. It has perfectly clean side hung float bowls with that single inlet on the front bowl and the tube that runs to the back bowls.
Will there be a problem if i use the side hung bowls and transfer tube in place of the center hung bowls and dual feed design. They seem to bolt right up without a problem but I wanted to make sure.
It is going on my 72 454 vette if that makes a difference.
thanks

yeah the other bowls will work, as long as both carbs have either 1 or 2 metering blocks, differences there change the length of the metal tube that connect the bowls but i believe almost all vacuum secondary carbs have only a front metering block.
but yeah, clean the damn bowls that came with it LOL center hungs are supposed to be better
