Default old newbie

after a 15 year layoff decided to get back into old mustangs again....question...when converting standard interior to pony on a 66 are the buns the only upgrade to make on the seats? seat frame is the same? does anyone know if there is a complete conversion kit (panels, handles, etc) interior from standard to pony? thanks

Note: Your Mustang must be original Pony Interior to install these upholstery kits. Pony seat covers will not fit over standard seat assemblies without modification!.

I did most of the work on my car 15 years ago. Wow, it's so much easier now that we have the www.

I thought it was just the foams too.... good to know.

Also, on ebay, I think it is Laurel Mountain Mustang that has complete interior kits for a pretty good price...

CJ Ponyparts has a complete kit to convert from the regular interior to the pony one.

With the www. craze going on the restoration of your older classic is a simple process,you will find yourself running out of money and waiting for the UPS/FEDEX guy more then anything.lol

What modifications specifically??? Seat frame? I know the seat/back buns are different but I thought that was it......

thanks to all who replied......truly different now with this web site......before it was all trial and error, mostly error.....

Yeah the internet has changed a lot.My step dad has been a mechanic since the 70s he told me if you wanted to restore a older car you prayed the junkyard had one or wait a long time for swap meets or someone part a car out.I understand now why the early street rodders use what they could find.
