old newbie
after a 15 year layoff decided to get back into old mustangs again....question...when converting standard interior to pony on a 66 are the buns the only upgrade to make on the seats? seat frame is the same? does anyone know if there is a complete conversion kit (panels, handles, etc) interior from standard to pony? thanks

This forum has been very helpful, and the net has parts vendors galore. Good luck with your car. Post pics!

I thought it was just the foams too.... good to know.
Also, on ebay, I think it is Laurel Mountain Mustang that has complete interior kits for a pretty good price...

[QUOTE=WildMustang351;5603859]Note: Your Mustang must be original Pony Interior to install these upholstery kits. Pony seat covers will not fit over standard seat assemblies without modification!.
What modifications specifically??? Seat frame? I know the seat/back buns are different but I thought that was it......
thanks to all who replied......truly different now with this web site......before it was all trial and error, mostly error.....

Yeah the internet has changed a lot.My step dad has been a mechanic since the 70s he told me if you wanted to restore a older car you prayed the junkyard had one or wait a long time for swap meets or someone part a car out.I understand now why the early street rodders use what they could find.
