Default How many welds on the front frames?

How many welds are they're on one of the front frame rails?

I have a replacement that I have needed to put in, but am dragging my feet...

I don't think there is a specific number of welds. The originals were spot or plug welded, not sure on the correct welding terminology but they were welded every inch or so I believe, if I remember correctly. There were a bunch, I remember drilling all of them out. I welded mine in the same pattern as the originals and I threw in extras around the edges to add extra welds in case I didn't get good penetration on other welds. Just needs to be solid when finished. I hope mine are solid as this was my first welding job. Good luck with yours!

Not that hard, just took a lot of time. Once you start, you quickly learn the process and how they were assembled. Just duplicate the assembly and weld together. It was a pain in the **** to remove the frame rails. Again, make sure you weld all the places where you cut out the old ones. It took me several Saturdays to replace both frame rails. Took about a year to do all the metal work, working almost every Saturday and other days here and there. I have close to 400-500 hours in the body work.
