Bad Solenoid?
Hey guys,
I just bought a new starter solenoid from dallas mustang and it keeps getting stuck in the 'on' position!
It would crank and start, but sometimes it would just stick on. I could hear the starter continue to spin along with the crank shaft and I couldnt turn my car off.
I ended up putting the old dirty one back in, and now it works fine.
My question is, is it possible to have a bad starter solenoid out of the box, or did I just not tighten a wire down good enough or something?
OT: what are you guys doing for the three day weekend? (new carpet is on the list for the ol' 67)

Can't really say if it was ur fault or not...but I can say that I have gotten a good share of defective parts straight out of the box.
Us full time car wash employees dont get a 3 day weekend. It's big business for us when people don't have to go to work.
