Default Progress Pics,, Plus Parts begin arriving

New pics posted.. Track my progress..

I drove past my house yesterday after going to a bike shop with my neighbor and notice 4 boxes sitting at my front door.. and started screaming !! MUSTANG PARTS!!!!! And I took a trip over to my body guy today and got some pics... I think I have changed my mind again on color.. Now its Darkish Gray w/darker gray stripes.. Thats pretty much settled.. Pics:

The car is pretty darned straight, the tail pannel had the worse of it with about 1/8 inch of bondo in some spots and more in others..

OH, and the Ron Francis wiring harness looks like it will be cake to instal.. Ive already read through the installation instructions twice..

And the door pannels came from Ohio mustang, I thought they would be all plastic for some reason and was pleasantly supprised to find that it was covered with vinyl and was soft with a plastic backing.. They are nice, but has no chrome trim and I cant find any repo;s any suggestions?

Nice. Not too big a fan of the color choices... geting overplayed alot. It'll look sharp, don't get me wrong, but theres an awful lot of them out there.

Looks like excellent progress. I'd love to see that charcoal combo with a red interior. mmmmmmmmm

And HGC, go to bed. Why are you up so late? I have an excuse. I'm in the hospital right now waiting for my sister to deliver her baby. (Only going on 12 hours being here at the hospital, sigh)

So is the door panels have the same feel and texture as original ones? I'm going to try to get some since they are cheap from ohio mustang. And yeah these repro's only come with the carpet, try cjponyparts for the repro's on the woodgrain, chrome, emblems, and door handle cups. I'm just going to reuse all my chrome and woodgrain, it is in fair shape.

Oh and gray is a good choice for a color option, but might be over done with all the eleanor stuff that happened. just something to think about

and is that a new taillight panel? I only ask because it is black and looks clamped on...

Yes, it is a new taillight pannel and it is just clamped on for now.. He cut the old one out and it was really shabby.. Lots of bondo and cracks and holes.. Im glad I went with a new one. Although the new repo metal dosent exactly fit perfectly, especially in the curve attaching it to the fender caps. It is like christmass for me..

Waffles: I hope that kid has popped out by now! I was waiting for my wife to finish up some homework last night before I got on.

I know the gray is over used because of the eleanor kits and gone in 60 seconds. But it seems to be the only color my wife and I could agree on, besides black.. and I dont want it black. I went through a mazda/dodge dealership yesterday and found a Metropolitain Gray color that had a little pearl to it and looked pretty cool..

I do like the door pannels and the feel they have. I wish they wouldnt have stamped holes into the pannel for mounting the woodgrain though. That would have been nice because I wouldnt have to buy something to fill the holes.

More progress pics..

He got the tail panel welded in and some patch work on the rear window channel done and the roof.. the roof was pitted and dented and covered with a crap load of bondo, but he got it straight again.. body work should be finished and ready for lots of poly and blocking by tuesday. im going with Mazda's 2009 metropolitian gray.. its really dark with hints of blue to the gray.. its nice.. and some kind of black striping or something..
