Default another wheel question... 67'

I want to run wide tires on the back of my 67 coupe, something in the ballpark of 275's on an 18" rim. I plan on running a fully adjustable rear end with coilovers or even possibly a jaguar IRS. Im curious what specs I should stick with in the wheel to avoid problems with rubbing and/or stressing the rear end. Things like offset, backspacing, rim width(9" or 10"). Any suggestions are appreciated.

how do I read that? Is the backspacing number the max you can run?

If the backspacing number on your chart shows 5.5" for my setup and the specs on the rim I want shows 5.94"... does that mean im good, or will it not work?

basically I want to run some of these on my 67 coupe with a 275/40R17 tire:

also, do you see these working on the rears with the above on the front?

The chart shows what people are running and if/how it works for them on their cars.
If you are looking at a wheel that is the same width but has more backspacing....chances are it won't work, but there is enough information in the chart to extrapolate some answers

The 17x9 linked have late model BS you would need a bolt on adapter to use them in the front, people who have run that size in the rear have also used 1/2 spacer in the rear. I also don't think I have anyone on the chart who has successfully run a 10.5 wheel. I also don't think 275s are going to work too well on the front.

Thanks... I planned on running a smaller size on the fronts and a wider size on the rears. Guess I need to find a smaller wheel.

17x8 front and 17x9.5 rear is a proven combo.

you've been a huge help, thanks.

The info is on the chart. I am on mobile right now so I can't look it up.

Ok guys. Right now I am running the stock gt style argent steel which are 14's. I want to go to a Torque Thrust 2 or Bulolit Take off in a 17 because I am told the Disc Conversion wont work with my stocks. Is this true?
