Default Where is it??

I posted this on a different thread cause I didnt know about this section but I know I found my home here. I own a 67 that needs work. I cant find the temp plug. The plug that tells the gauge in my dash the coolant temp. I found the Oil plug and it has no wire connected to it so I guess I have to connect it my self somehow. I guess its all part of the fun of getting to know youre small piece of Americana!! Thanks in Advance!!

Buy a paperback shop manual. It will be the best $40 you ever spend on your car. A manual plus this site and you should resolve 99% of your problems.

John67 has a small block V8.

The first photo is of the Temp Sensor on my 289. It's located at the front of the Intake Manifold. The Distributer is to the left and the oil fill cap is to the right.

The second photo is Johns67's engine bay. I can't see a plug for a Temp Sensor, where it should be, on the Intake Manifold.

The sensor plug must be somewhere on your intake. If not, there has to be a boss, so you can drill & tap for one.

Oooooh...move your coil out from under that mess and mount it to the front side of one of your shock towers....I'll bet a beer (if you ever come to Fayetteville, NC.) that your temp plug underneath the starter coil.
