i would email or call him and see what car it came off of. if they came off a fox they might not fit cause they have bigger engine bays so they can make the headers come out wider...

they were never fitted so it's not possible to tell what they came out of.
find part number of seller and check with manufacturer.

I did a quick check on summit and the painted flowtech shorties they sell for 5.0 engines are not listed for 289s. partnumber check at holley confirms this. so I'd be wary

79-93 headers dont fit in classic engine bays. when he says 5.0 thats what he is talking about

ok thank you,
is there an inexpensive header (100 or less), that will fit a 289 in a classic?
i know probably not new..
but whats a good place to buy them used.

nah the value headers from mustangs unlimited etc(might be a little more than 100 since i bought mine a few years ago) JBA are top of the line. for 100 bucks you get a down payment on them
