I think this is about my 4th post: can I be a Mod now?

The offer for beers was apparently enough to unite the masses, a good thing. Actually nice to see that open discussion, even that which is critical in nature, is tolerated as long as it doesn't "cross a line".

Welcome gt500 from a relatively new member. i'm amazed at some of the reaction here, unbelievable. Here's my suggestion, if you dont like moderator choices, find another forum or.....start your own, then you can have whoever you want.

Thank you 68Convert! I have been a member on here for quite some time and a moderator for other sections almost as long. I have owned a classic (see sig) and hope that I have started to earn a few new friends in this section as well as many other sections on this forum. I am not leaving anytime soon and they all know that. Mostly good people on the forum and in the classic section in general. thanks for the support and enjoy the forum!

2 cents from a new guy to this forum. I say welcome to the new mod.. As long as he does the job fairly and with comon sense. Then whats the problem, his back ground shouldn't matter
