Default Hard Work *daytime pics*

I know the pics are dark but I just finished. Its been a lot of hard work but I think she is finally ready for paint. Installed the 4 link, Finished the rear tubs, had to narrow rear, re-spline the axles. Front is shelby dropped, 1'' drop springs cut 1 full spring, notched front frame just a bit. The rear can go down another inch if I want it to but I like how it sits now. I think Ill drop her off for paint either Mon. or Tues. Painting her a BMW white, keeping the red interior. Its not my favorite scheme but its what my Dad wanted.

PS I know they are chrome...I know they are big...its what i wanted

Looks good, like the hood. Hate the rims.

edit: well, maybe the rims aren't too bad. Looked like some huge rediculous donk rims at first, looked closer and they're alright.

I think the rims look pretty good, clearer pics will do them more justice. Looks good though, I spy LED taillights, nice choice. I just installed mine last week and love them!

I like that look. You did a great job. How much did you narrow the rear and what tire are you running out back? Have you had a chance to take the 4 link out and test it? How much up and down adjustment can you get out of them coil overs? It's going to look mean when she's done.

Another thing I noticed. This is just my opinion. Since you went this far with the car, it would look better without the quarter panel trim. I would take the chrome off. It would even look bitchen with brake coolers.

Valley,
yes the chrome will be gone...The 9'' had to be narrowed 2'' each side. I have not had a chance to "test" the 4 link yet. Want to get more work done before i start breaking stuff. I Have not played with the coil overs yet. The coilovers can be set at 3 different mounting points though. Right now its in the middle. I had the rear lower but then the car lost the rake look. Its real easy to raise it back up to put the slicks on and go to the track

Tires are 275/35r18 in rear. Rims are only 18x9 so thats about as wide as i can go. When its time for new tires i will widen the wheels to 10.5 then stick new rubber on. They dont make these wheels in anything larger than 9''

I like it.

I'm having a problem with the wheels I want right now. The FR500s narrowest wheel is 9". When I purchase them I will send them off to get narrowed for the front. I will run a 10.5 in the rear with probably a 295 drag radial. I ordered my Eastwood fender lip roller on Thursday. I'll wait until my 4-link goes in and I roll the lips to confirm the 295's. Hopefully this will take place in the next few weeks.

Good luck with the paint. How long did they say they would have it?

paint should be about 6 weeks. I dont think you would have to roll the fender lips with 295's. I have a lot of room left to the inner frame rail. What 4-link you getting?

How much do you think it cost to widen a wheel?

Ill take a daytime picture when i get back from pomona swapmeet.
