Default How do wheel chrome trim rings work?

I am referring to these:

Do they work on just about any steel rim? Such as the line of budget wheels from Cragar like this or similar:

Thanks.

They grip the wheel just like a hub cap, so the need a flat surface in the wheel
that coresponds to the tangs that hold the hub cap to wheel. Ask MU if they'll
hold hub caps (it doesn't look like it).

Have you thought about some plain 15" steel wheels?

Ford and Chrysler share the 4 1/2" x 5 bolt pattern, new they're about $200, if you look around you could probably find a used set for $100 bucks.

Painted up nice and with the right tires steelies give a no nonsense, clean, and simple look that I've always liked.

True...

I think I'd rather go with the Cragars, I think they are usually used on Jeeps and from what I understand, the paint doesn't hold up too well, but at least I will be going down the road. They also make a similar wheel that is a gun metal grey metallic.

When I bought them for $80 at a swapmeet, I did not know what I was looking at. The welds are coming undone, and they are not real Cragars. They look awesome, and I love them, but new Cragars + plus tires would pose a budget problem next summer. I need money for brake work and a tiny bit of welding before the car can go on the road.

Racin,

THANK YOU. They are amazing. 5 lbs lighter than the Cragars, and they are suppliers for NASCAR, and they are USA made. (So are Cragars, but still...).

I have to research if a 3.625 BS would work on my car though. 3.75 is good according to the dodgestang list.
