Default CSRP brakes

Its been a long time since I have been on. I am still deployed, but looking for parts. I am moving to Oregon when I get home. I am also getting out of the army, so I want disc brakes for the wet weather on the coast, but cant afford $1000+ and being unemployed at the same time I found the CSRP, and for $500, that is much easier to swallow. So I need to know if they are worth it, or am I better off spending the extra money for the SSBC?

As for the use of the car, it will be strictly a cruiser. Probably never see a track. Just the occasional stop light derby

I am sure this has been asked before, and I apoligize for not searching, but the internet connection in Uganda is crap. Took almost 5 minutes just to open the main page. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!

I'd recommend calling Day at Dazecars. He's a retailer and can get you a good deal on the CSRP kit you need. He's also a really nice guy and I enjoy doing business with him when I can

But yes, the CSRP kit should be more than enough for your needs. I'm very happy with mine (installed earlier this year). Good quality, the kits include everything you need shy of hard lines, and Dennis offers great support if you have any questions.

Cant help with the brakes, I actually have the exact same question. Just curious, what are you doing in Uganda? My brother spent a couple months there this summer. He was a little outside of Kampala, and did a lot of work in the Katanga slum. Not sure if you know where that is. I know what you mean about the internet there... It took my brother forever to do anything.

Thanks for all the help. I was planning to spend $1000 on the SSBC's. So, after all the confidence that you all have in the CSRP's, I will spend $500, then the "saved" $500 will go to some other stuff. I love it when things work out like that. I think an H pipe, and an air compressor will chew up that extra 500 pretty easily.

As for being in Uganda, I am teaching a Counter Terrorism course to the Ugandan army. We are about 40 minutes from Kampala, and 10 minutes from Entebbee. It is not to bad here. The beer is cheap

great stuff. if you deal with Day you might want to ask him about Shelby drop while you're at it. I haven';t done it during swap but probably should have. Since you have the lot disassembled anyways ...

Yes, the Majority of the Dealers are selling the 4 Piston 65 66 67 Mustang Fairlane Disc Brake Kelsey Hayes brakes VERY High.

However,
I bought my SSBC Component K/H Brakes from Chockostang for $699.00

These are the same brakes I purchased for my 66 From another company, for $939.00?

Excellent, TRUE SSBC Components, Call them, SSBC, I Did!

To set the record straight, the $699 kit sold by chockostang is not a SSBC kit. That is an extravagant and misleading claim and I'd wager that SSBC would take umbrage to their brand being usurped. His kit contains dust shields and caliper brackets distributed by SSBC. The kit lacks a master cylinder, the residual pressure valve, grease and thread locker kit, uses improper caliper to bracket mounting bolts, and the rotors are not slotted.

Where in Ilinois do you live?
