I put them on my 66 and the 70 Mustang I built several years ago. In both cases, they slid right into postion and were easy to weld on, with no trimming of anything.

I went with the Tin Men connectors. Once installed they are a perfect extension from front to back and look correct unlike the round tubular connectors.

I have GW subframe connectors on my convertible and the fit was horrible. I had to cut off the front mounts and then reweld them back on. They were not even parallel to the mounting points. They were off about 10 degrees. Once that was corrected they work and fit great.

racin66.. 65-73 Mustang Subframe Connectors .. 145.00 and free USPS Priority shipping. Cut the back ends off the front rails, slide the connectors in, weld them up. Well.. a bit more than that but thats the gist of the install. They follow the floor lines nicely, no floor cutting needed on coupes/fastbacks (verts might iirc) and look pretty stock.

I was shocked at how much they stiffen the car! Well woth the 145.00 bucks and its something every classic mustang should have done imo.

yeah its the back section .. ehh.. Here is the Tin Man Instructions

I had the floor pans out while installing so I was able to add full welds inside the frame extensions along the top of the connectors in addition to 6 plug welds on each side of the extensions. I made up new extensions as ours were bad and they were a bit longer allowing for the additional plug welds. Quite easy install actually.
