Default 69 Mach 1

My friend and I are doing a restomod on a 69 Mach 1. Recently, our paint guy has been getting a bit indecisive. He's a great guy, has six beautifully restored classic Fords, but he also uses his booth for business, and its booming right now. We originally picked Lime Gold metallic, with the flat black hood stripes, blackout front and rear spoilers, and black accent stripes. We don't feel comfortable painting metallics on our own if this doesn't work out.

Which classic 69 colors are not metallic?

I know theres Raven Black, Wimbledon White, and I'm pretty sure Medowlark Yellow and Indian Fire.

Thanks!

I find it hard to believe Indian Fire isn't a metallic, but it is an absolutely gorgeous color.

Raven Black, Royal Maroon, Aztec Aqua, Wimbledon White, Candyapple Red, Meadowlark Yellow, Pastel Gray. I'm pretty sure that Indian Fire is metallic.

Painting metallic isn't tough at all if you use the base clear coat system. In fact the clear coats are the ones that give you the heartburn. Then again they also are the easiest to fix.

Thanks for all the quick responses!

I'm definitely wrong on the Indian Red. I was looking at a Candy paint chip and typed Indian.

I believe we would be using the two part system, but we really want to get this done one shot with no "zebra stripes." I'm still hoping that our painter still works out because I really love the Lime Gold Metallic.

For the reflective stripes, there were black ones that reflected gold and red ones that reflected white, was there a third style? Were the stripes determined by the interior? I think black and red would look pretty cool, but not so much without a red interior.

I'm really pumped, were so close to paint I can smell it. If I could figure out how to post pictures, I'd show you guys some of the progress.

Stripes also came in Gold that reflected White as well as just Red, Black, Gold and White by themselves.
