Another wheel questions
I have decided to go with AR TTII's. My question is is will a 17x8 fit in the front and back or do I need 17x7's? I am probably going to go with 225/45/17s around the entire car or do you think I should stagger the wheels and go with a 245 in the back? The 225/45 is slightly shorter than the 205/70/14 that I am currently running... OR do you think I could go with a 235/45 in the front?
One shop quoted me $1531 with the 225/45's and 17x8 and then they quoted $1440 with the same tire and a 17x7.
Here is a pic to show the tires I have now

What are you planning to do with them?

You betcha, I am pulling the trigger on the racing wheels tomorrow because I have finally given up on a used set of Mags, TTs, or SS's. With my luck , there will be ten local auctions five minutes after I place my order.

Nick: What size are you running now?
Moon: They are 14's. The wheels have a little bit of rust but I used a steel wool pad on them and they cleaned up nicely but with some more work they would probably look that much better.
The shop I am looking to get them from has a TTII on display that he will put tires on and then mount it to my car so I can see how it will look, fit, ect.. He thinks he also has 1 more new one in the back so he will cut a deal on those and i'll just be ordering 2 new wheels which will make the $1531 go down a little bit.

I put 17x8 all the way around on my 1966 mustang. I went with 245/45/17 tire's all the way around also. This was without any suspension mod's and the front rubbed a bit, but all I had to do was modify the fender with a hammer a bit:P I also went with the new TT's black with chrome ring around the outside. I paid only like 1,200 for mine and they came with the shelby special addition center caps, but then again I got a good discount with the shop.
