Edelbrck 2121 Intake Bracket?
I noticed that the Edelbrock intake manifild instructions suggest a throttle bracket adapter likes these:

Which one? Are they really needed and if so, why are the two so different? Who has installed one on their 302? I'm using one with a Edelbrock 2161 carb. Thanks.

You probably will need both. The first one is an automatic transmission kickdown bracket, and the second lets you mount the throttle cable to the intake. I needed both when I installed the Edelbrock 2121.
I didn't need either for my '65.. 289. I just had to drill a small hole in the throttle cable for my Edlebrock carb connection. I was able to make my '65 kick down bracket work just had to trim a little off front to fit on the intake. I'm planning on getting a '66 kick down which is a lot better than '65 and doesn't connected to intake but you have to swap the pedal.
