Default exploder rear disk brakes

I've been sitting on a set of exploder rear disk brakes for over a year now. I've been threatening to do the Granada disk swap (I have two sets) and the rear explorer swap. I've recently read that the exploder rear disks will only work on big bearing 9" rears. Can someone explain why and if there is a mod other than cutting the end of the tubes off and re welding the big bearing ends on. Thanks!

Something I want to know too is can you use a parking brake with this set-up?

Here's why:

A Lokar parking brake cable can be used and ties in with the stock set up.

It appears the center to center bolt pattern is bigger for the disk brakes?

I have used two sets of Explorer disc. The bolt pattern was a little off on the small bearing housing so I enlarged the holes on the brackets to fit, its not a biggie. One set is on the track car and has seen some rough use. On the emergency brakes, you need to cut the Explorer cable about a foot in front of the connector that is under the drivers area. This then can be attached to the fulcrum on the park brake assembly on your car. Also you will need a set of spacers. These need to be the thckness of the brackets and will hold the bearing firm.

It seems that I have seen pics of those plates that someone fabricated. Does anyone have any pics or a link that will show these plates?

So they CAN be used on either? Just a little machining?

just to add to Marks comment:
I can confirm there's a Lokar parking brake kit that can be used with the explorer discs. It's what I'm running as well

I BLELIEVE that onme is the one I got (I just had to cut the cables a tad the rest went in no prob):

This kit contains the Clevis kit you will need to attach to the ford explorer brakes
