Default starting my winter projects

The "honey do" list has shortened and I am able to finally start on some of my winter projects.

For starters, I am going to clean this up by pulling the motor and tranny and repaint the motor and engine bay along with new decals. I will also going to clean up the wiring harness. The tranny is coming out due to an AOD swap.

Here she is out of commission for the duration.

Over the winter, I also plan on new carpet, wheels and tires. I would love to replace the scoop with a shaker and a hood tach but thats up in the air at this point.

More to come as progress is made. Will post pics also.

Merry Christmas ya'll.

Maybe while the carpet is out you could clean it up real good, Por15 it, and lay down some sound deadener/ heat insulation?

I am going to clean the floor up and use some of the sound deadener/ heat shield stuff from Lowes or Home depot I have read about. The floors have been replaced but I am not satisfied with the workmanship. I will be replacing them again in a few years but i want to enjoy driving it for awhile. I can see where if i were to try and fix everything to my standards at one time... I would never get to drive it. The floors are structually sound just not cosmetically to my liking..

The silver bubble stuff from Lowes that is used for heat insulation is great, I used it on my firewall and roof. But if you mean PeelNSeal from Lowes for sound deadening, don't get it...
