Default A LOT of progress

Well as always i had to try out my Christmas gifts right away, and this year this included a pair of wheel houses,
so on they went
they were not a great fit, but i really want to get this quarter on and looking nice so i spent the majority of the day reshaping it. Then on to seam sealing and painting all inside there... it looks really good
now, i know i say this every time, but pictures when i get home....i promise

and then for the remainder of the day i was able to cut, flange, cut drill holes in and fit the quarter panel to the car...
at first i had troubles lining the wheel openings on the skin and wheel house but i made short work of that with a dent puller, then i was graced to have it fit like a glove into the flange and pulled snugly together with screws until i weld it, its looking like not a whole lot of grinding, and VERY little bondo.

Nicely done, Joe!

I'll have to post a picture of my African Gray, Harry. He calls the dog (drives the dog crazy), meows like a cat (also drives the dog crazy), and says about 30 things, including my favorite, "Buuuuurrrrp, that's a good one!"

thanks snakes , my bird says sooo many things and very clear, and weve only had him about 6 months
he can bark liek my dog (drives it crazy) runs to the door when some one is there (drives it crazy, and scares the postman) he mimics any sound resembling a click, clack or anything metallic (air hammering on the car drove the family nuts)

That is alot of progress indeed! It looks like you have done this a time or two before. I have a cockateal that mimicks any bird sound he hears. He can say pretty lady too, its great!

Since you flanged it, have you considered body panel adhesive? It is just as strong as welding and it won't warp the panel. When we replaced our quarter the heat from the welds caused some warpage. It wasn't a lot because we jumped small welds back and forth but I wished we flanged and used BPA.
