Default Will these brakes work?

I was looking at these auctions for disc brakes for my 69 fastback and was wondering if they would work. My brakes are manual drums now. Would I have to switch to power? Would I have to switch my spindles? How do I know if I have large or small bearing on my 9" rearend?

The fronts seem good, especially if you can provide the correct spindles. Do you have a I6 or V8? You'd have to get a second opinion from someone else, but I believe there is a small difference between the 2, spindle wise.

Your rear is most probably small bearing, unless it was a conversion rear out of a bronco or truck. I dunno about the second auction. 65 is alot of money for shipping

Look at this http://www.kevinstang.com/Ninecase.htm it will show you the large and small bearing. Those brakes are fine as long as you have the spindles to match them. And id put new pads on and check the rotors.

I think after looking at wilwood. I think I will run them on all 4 corners. It looks like a good kit, plus every thing is bolt in and I wont have to worry about will it fit, or when I get it will it work or are the calipers junk. Especially running manual brakes I think they would be better than stock.

Unless its a race car id go for the cobra brakes http://www.mustangsteve.com/cobrabrakes.html they are pbr calipers same thing baer is but cheaper. And you can get pads and rotors from any auto part store.Or http://www.ssbrakes.com/ only down side to wilwood is most are a 2 piece rotor its a pain to bolt and wire them together and the alum hub on them rattle sometimes.

I like the looks of the cobra brakes. I have a set of 17" 5 spoke coys that are going on the car so clearance is not an issue. Have you ever used this setup?
