The actual paint color names are indeed Ford Blue and Ford Red. Blue and Orange are the NY Mets colors, lol.

I knew Ford Blue, but they should have called the Ford Red, Ford Orange since it isn't even red.

Didn't know it was called Ford Red though.

Since Chevy has an orange then I guess Ford wanted to be different.

The valve covers and air cleaners were painted "Ford Red" on 64 1/2-65 170s and 200s. They went to "Ford Blue" in 66. You can get those colors from most of the big parts dealers.

I have an inline 200 block i just did. and i painted it a nice ford blue. not the light blue, but the darker one.

Most people know associate blue with ford and orange with chevy. I like the blue best.
