Default Shifter

I am almost done with my shifter mod. My console I made is going to have to be modified now since the new shifter doesn't fit while shifting in the existing hole. I'm resizing my pics and I will post them once I finish.

Used a Steeda Tri-ax shifter handle, and a Hurst T-handle. My dad made me the adapter at his work out of 1 piece of aluminum.

I have 20 pictures. 3 of the design(they aren't the same as the adapter made), and 17 of the adapter and shifter.

Looks like it'll work...but unless you've got really long arms, you may need to redesign that adaptor to move the shift lever farther back into the cabin. If you look at a stock Mustang shift lever, it's much longer than a similar lever from a Falcon, Fairlane, Galaxie, etc, because the shift hole is so far forward in a Mustang.

I can sit back in the seat and shift fine. I guess it is because I am tall and have I guess long arms(don't know average arm length).

It shifts faster, and with the adapter it is almost the same as the original. I really like it.
