That stuff looks like a re-badged container of POR-15...which is awesome and if that stuff is the same thing then it will be awesome too.

If its just little amounts... wire brush it off well wipe off the dust and then coat it with POR-15 (or the like)

i bought POR-15 but didn't get to use it yet as other projects have taken over.
I bought that stuff simply because everyone around here seems to use and love it

I know I'll sound like a heretic, but while POR15 is good Eastwood rust encapsulator is better in the long run. I think most people like POR15 because the finish is glossy black and rock hard. It looks almost like you powder coated the part and the brush marks even blend and are not noticable. However, it does degrade if exposed to ultraviolet light, is difficult to top coat even following the directions, and rust will form around the edges and travel under the coating. None of this is a problem if your car is garage kept, not exposed to the elements, or you sell it 2 or 3 years after applying POR15. I have not had these problems with the Eastwood product.

Yes, I use POR15. It has its applications, but not the universal uses that it seems to get. I use Eastwood much more universally and it is cheaper. Just my 2 cents worth.
