I've been looking for over 2 hours to find the fusebox on my 66 coupe.
Can anybody tell me where to find it and what it looks like ?

Ok found it. It was lose and hidden inside the dash.
Check out the picture:

Fusebox

When you look at the picture this is what i found:

* No 14A ACCY fuse
* A 14A HTR fuse
* A small 2.5 INST LT fuse
* A 7.5 A DOME fuse
* A 14 A CIG LIGHTER FUSE

What are all these fuses for ?
2 out of four fuses are wrapped in aluminium foil so i guess they are broken and the previous owner thought he was McGiver or something
I want to go to the local electrics store tomorrow and pick up some new fuses. 14 A, 7.5 A and 2.5A are the amps right ?

those sound right, but you need to mount the fuse box back in the original spot. Where was it at when you found it?

Man. That looks like some of the stupid stuff my bother and I did when we were younger. Definitely replace the McGiver mods with the correct size fuses or you will be burning wires and perhaps catching you car on fire.

This reminds me of a Darwin award that was given to a guy who found that the bullets for his gun were a perfect fit in his car’s fuse box. One overheated and discharged. It did not kill him, but it did keep him from having any kids (if you know what I mean).

HAHA too funny, because I had a friend in HS that learned you could use an empty .22 cal shell for a fuse jumper. Thats how he got home one night when he blew out several fuses (I'm not sure how) in his old truck

So can anybody tell me what these fuses do:

* No 14A ACCY fuse
* A 14A HTR fuse
* A small 2.5 INST LT fuse
* A 7.5 A DOME fuse
* A 14 A CIG LIGHTER FUSE

1) My instrument panel does not work properly. The oil pressure gauge, temperature gauge, fuel gauge and amps gauge dont work. Which fuse of the above is responsible for this. The only stuff on my instrument panel that works is the speedometer & the left & right turn signal lights. No instrument panel light either ?

2) What does the dome fuse do ?

3) What does the ACCY fuse do ?

4) What does the HTR fuse do ?

Anyone ?

Thats prolly the instrument lite fuse aka a small 2.5 INST LT fuse

2) What does the dome fuse do ? Lets current aka power goto your dome light

3) What does the ACCY fuse do ? Lets current aka power goto you accessories like when you turn the key to the accessories posistion and the radio comes on

4) What does the HTR fuse do ? Lets current aka power goto your heater (maybe, just a guess on this one)

Anyone ?

No 14A ACCY fuse = Anything that is powered when switch is in acc position. such as Radio
* A 14A HTR fuse = Heater fan
* A small 2.5 INST LT fuse = lights on instrument panel
* A 7.5 A DOME fuse = the dome light on the ceiling
* A 14 A CIG LIGHTER FUSE = cigarettte lighter

Is that what you were asking?

So where do i find the fuse for my reverse-lights (i mean the lights that go on when i put the car in reverse, on the back of the stang).

Cause they dont work & i measured the voltage that the bulb should get in the fitting but no voltage what so ever ... so i'm gessing a fuse .?
