Default convertible top install

I am getting ready to attempt an install on a 67. Anybody have any tips or advice? Never done one before. Thanks.

Default Don't do it.

Seriously, pay to have a professional do it. Installing the convertible top is the single-hardest job on a classic mustang. I took several weeks to do it, and the top still did not come out looking as good as I wanted. All the little flaps, staple bars, and the rear window have to be in the exactly right position or the top will come out looking wrong. Unless you have experience installing these tops, I would pay to have it done. This is coming from someone who did all the restoration work on my own car, including painting, welding, rebuilding the engine, etc.

It is not really that expensive to have someone good do it for you. Shop around and you will get a very good price.
