Since my Stang has made a great deal of progress lately, I thought I would share.

For those that don't know, it is originally a 200 I6 car. It is undergoing a V8 swap. I have had it since 94 and it was my daily driver in high school. When I got it, it needed major help. I'm glad I saved it. Around that time it was 80% restored. It is now about 90% restored. For the last several years it has been out of comission and stored in the garage under a cover.

I just swapped the OEM grille for a reproduction one with GT fog lights.

I recently rebuilt the entire front suspension with all new parts except for the steering box, which was a low mileage quick ratio one I got from a parts car we had a while back. The front and rear springs are new. The front are 600 1 inch lowering. I also installed KYB shocks.

I got a set of Magnum 500 wheels and BFG TA tires over Christmas.

It now has the Lincoln Versailles 9 inch that is freshly rebuilt and Granada front disc brakes, so it is 4 wheel disc.

A Modern Driveline clutch cable is installed at the pedal and through the firewall. The rest will have to wait until the drivetrain is in.

I am currently working on the brakes. I am waiting for a back ordered master cylinder right now.

I installed a one piece "Shelby" style export brace. I have a monte carlo bar, but it will have to wait to go on until the engine is in the car. I have sub-frame connectors as well, but am waiting to put them on until after the drivetrain is in, simply because it will allow more room to crawl around under the car. It also has Lakewood traction bars.

It still needs it's 302, but that will be taken car of in the next few months.

I also just picked of a pair of 1965 Texas license plates so that I can do YOM registration. Has anyone else on here from Texas done this? If so, what do you have to do?

I can see them. What they don't show up? There should be 4 pictures of a caspian (midnight) blue 65 coupe in the first post of this thread.

Lol, if you highlight his post you can see 4 microscopic dots. I think you need to host those somewhere other than Stangnet. I recommend www.tinypic.com

Edit: We cannot view the images because we are not members of Stangnet. I registered an account just so I could go get your pictures, as soon as I did so, they popped up on this page. Crazy, almost the same exact color as mine.

Edit, edit: Here ya go:

I like the grill, have thought about doing it to mine for a while.

Thanks for the compliments guys.

Hey 350KmileFord, Thanks for hosting my pictures. Yours would look awesome with the GT grille and a set of the 65-66 style steel wheels.

What color is your car?

I just realized yours is an inline 6. That limits your choice of wheels. I had that issue when drove mine back in high school. I wonder if someone makes some good looking classic style wheels that will fit the 4 lug. I had wheels like this. Mine were chrome with a black middle. Thats the part between the rim and the center cap that has the holes in it. I haven't seen them in years. I think they stoped making them.

I guess they are still available. I just found them. This is what I had when my car still had its 4 lug setup.

Zmetalmilitia, your car looks sweet!

Yeah, I can't wait to drive it again.

I also got clear parking lights for it. I thought that looked slick.

A few other things I have done recently are replace the gas tank and install a 3/8 oversized V8 fuel line. I am going to rebuild the heater box also. I just go all the parts I should need for that. I have the heater core, and foam/rubber parts.
