Default Bearings.

I am replacing my old bearings, I noticed alot of different overbores (STD, .001, .002, etc.)

Question is: I just need to get STD Bearings if I am replacing the old ones? (Main, Connecting Rod, Cam)?

Thanks

The way they size bearings is in relation to the crankshaft main and rod journals. For example if you have the crank ground .010" you need .010" oversize bearings. The bearings you currently have will be marked with std, .010, .020, etc. If your crank has any significant mileage on it I would recommend getting it polished, then have them mic the journals so that you can have an accurate representation of the bearing sizes you need to buy.
