Default 1966 Convertible Fog Light Switch placement

The directions say to center the switch between the wipers and headlight switch.....that gives me the left/right,east/west placement...but what about up/down north/south....should it be even with the convertible top switch?

Does anyone have a "true" factory gt and can give me a location before I drill into the dash to put the new switch in.
Thanks Scott

after looking at some pixs on ebay of some GT's looks like the switch should go to the left of the convertible top switch and even with it.
I think thats where I am going to put it.

For my 65 I found that there is already a hole in the bottom of the dash near the parking brake lever that faces down. Its exactly the right size, so I just used it. I didn't want to drill a hole in my dash anyway.

It supposed to be close to inline with the dome light switch in the door jamb.

I don't know where the converitble top switch is though.

These links may help.
