So I was looking for new chrome bits for the rear window, and ran across a pretty cool rear window set up. Its almost like a delete kit for the chrome. I personally feel that chrome is always more trouble than its worth, so I was wondering if any of you 69 coupe or fastback owners out there know what I am talking about. The pieces just screw in to the rear window frame. I have tried looking for pics but have been unable to find any. I then went looking for components, MU, Pony parts, mustang warehouse, laurel mountain, and cal mustang with not luck. From what I remember they were all black and like i said screwed into the frame. No clips, no chrome just a basic molding piece that looked easy to install. Let me know if you guys have any luck finding them. Thanks.

That is exactly what I am looking for! I was going crazy looking for that thing! Know of anyone who makes those parts?

It's the stock trim as far as coupes go. For a fastback they've got chrome trim I believe. Anyway, they don't make a reproduction set as far as I know, so you'll have to find one on a donor or contact someone who can find one. I suggest you call Colorado Mustang, they have a huge yard full of cars and they should be able to find you a set; they've come through every time I've called for an obscure item they don't make a repro of and I got them all next day.

I have that same trim got mine from ebay. My 70 coupe came stock with chrome trim and clips. The trim was trashed when I bought the car ,and I trashed the trim even more when removing it.

The body guy that I am sueing right now decided to drill a hole through my upper trim, I just about shot him on the spot.. He fixed it though..

I covered mine in matching roof vinyl when I put a new vinyl top on.

I have a question does this rear window moldings trim fits on my coupe 1970 ? i think its fram a coupe 1969... so yes where do i can find one like these plzz ?

Ken, wow this one of my first threads.... At any rate, yes that trim is for a 69 coupe only I had to search high and low and the best place to look is on Ebay. I was able to find mine locally from a donor car but I am guessing by your location you probably don't have a local mustang wrecking yard.
