That is more the norm than not. Some guys on here have gotten theirs done much quicker, but I'm used to 4 to 6 months for a quality job. You need to let the primers and fillers fully cure and most are fitting you in around other jobs. How much are they charging you?

I was told 3-4 months. It was there 7 months. Insurance work took priority and mine was used for work when it was slow.

Quoted the truth. Find a place that doesn't do insurance if you don't want to wait. But you'll probably pay more.

They do not do insurance work. Price is about $8,000. We still have to work through a few items, as I want them to do all glass, etc.

What am I going to do without my project for 6-9 months??????? I am having seperation anxiety and it's not even gone yet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Get another one to work on while it's gone! That's what I did. Then you can drive the painted one while the other one gets painted and then decide which one to sell and start the cycle all over again! After doing this many times, I have the cash to keep three with one in the works without investing any new money. Look at it as a business you actually enjoy!

As mine would do the same. I did do a lot of work on all the other items that needed attention. Like the interior stuff, moldings, etc. I was surprised I had that much to do. Plus I did give my wife a lot more attention.

My wife gets a lot of attention. In fact, I try to give her so much that she gets annoyed and tells me to go to the garage!
