Default traction bars

i am building a street car that should be putting down some good numbers... does anyone think that cal-tracs are too overkill for the street? if so, any suggestions on good traction bars? they want 339 for a set. here is the link: http://calvertracing.com/caltracs.php

also, i wanna put a set of 15x10.5 rims on my 67 coupe, would that fit?

I don't think the caltracs are overkill if you car needs them. Another good alternative is the Traction Masters available for less than $100(I think).

Define "good numbers." A mild 289 build doesn't need anything more than Traction Masters. A monster 408W build will appreciate the Cal-Tracs

I'll sell you my Cal Tracs for $200 + shipping. I have one summer on them before going to a 4-link.

I'll get some pics tomorrow. Mid 300's for sure with a 351W or a 347. Put some good heads and a good cam in either and you will be in the upper 400's.

Cal-Tracs do not have any give. Competition Engineering makes the slide-a-links that have a poly bushing for some give. You preload the bushing to set how much give you want. I run them on my hotrod and it is still very streetable, but it is no Towncar.
