He measured it and it is 39 13/16" so I am probably going to buy it. Just waiting for him to PM me a price.

I would buy a new one, if this is already second had, its going to be torn up. Save your self the headache and spend the extra cash when you have it on a new one.

Going to pay $25 shipped for it. Which is pretty much just paying for a new one with no shipping.

It is my understanding that the montecarlo bars are the same for 65-66 and 69-70, but the 67-68 are different. Thats they way i've seen many sites sell them as...

I bought a MC bar from a local mustang place for my 69 and they gave me a 68 because they thought it would fit but it didn't, the holes didn't line up at all. I think the widths of the top of the engine bays are the same for 65-70 just the bolts and other things are different. I can't be tooooo sure though...

I would have just boughten a new one though that has a better chance of being correct...

That is what I have read. This one is close to my measurement so I will see once I get it.

i bought one and then wondered why i didn't just fabricate one myself. although i was lucky, mine fitted perfectly without resting or stretching
