1966 color combinations
I believe there is a Harley Davidson color called black cherry you should check out. Mihgt be right up your alley.
With all the due respect to those who have restored a springtime yellow car, but I really think you should do something different. Kind of a boring color, IMO.

I am taking it out to my parents this weekend now that it's getting warmer (don't have a shed just an overhang so it gets kinda cold sometimes...lol). I don't have a "cherry picker" or whatever it's called to get the engine out. But my dad has a tractor with a bucket. We are going to take the hood off, put the bucket arm over the engine, & then pull the engine out with a come along. I already have an engine stand for it. By the way, does anyone know what size of bolts that it will take to hold the engine on the stand? Then, I am (if I have enough money) send the body to get new floor pans & possible a new trunk floor if it need it too. While that's in the shop I am just going to piddle with the engine, figure out what things need replacing, etc... Also, see it there's any way I could upgrade it & still not spend an arm & a leg.
I'm curious, what is the difference between standard interior, pony, & deluxe. I don't know if I named all the different one or even if I named them right. I think ya'll will know what I'm asking though...lol
For the 66 colors, I really like the Silver Frost (paint code 4). And that might look pretty sweet with a contrasting interior like Red.

If you're not really worried about correct model year paint... there's always this yellow that was a special order color for Shelby in 68. I've seen it referred to as Corporate Yellow or Fleet Yellow. I'm not sure what the paint code for it is.

That yellow Shelby, by the way, is painted with, apparently, what was later offered as "Bright Yellow" in 69 (color code 9) and "Grabber Yellow" in 70 (color code D). I don't know how correct any of that information is.
