I know. I like it, but I just don't have the time and money to fix it every single time. Need something I can rely on to get me to point A and B. Unfortunately this mustang isn't one of them.

First one was random. Other 2 we believe got too much voltage to them and fried. The new dizzy bypassed a resistor wire. It is running like crap right now. Dad is driving it tomorrow and I don't think he is going to make it to work without something happening.

First was a Flamethrower II coil that happened back in January(I think, might have been December). Then we fried my original coil Sunday. Then today I fried a MSD Blaster 2 coil.

I am sorry to hear about you deciding to sell it. I told my son he can not sell it after we spent almost 2 years on it.
I think everyone has a car they wish they never sold. Mine was a 69 SS Camaro I sold for 1200 dollars back in 1983. Engine was burning oil...

must be feeding a stock coil 12+ V cause a 40 or 45k wouldn't burn up

That sucks BA, and I know this is no condolence, but having a good reliable car that doesn't eat up college savings while in high school pays in the long run. I know that sounds like horse s#&t to you at this point. It would to me. In the long run, you will end up with a 390, 4-speed 67 and never look back.

There are great deals out there on 2000-2004 Stangs (especially V6's). As long as it is a stick, it will be fun.

that's too bad to hear Jake, you could spend 1500-2500 and do a full v8 swap with efi and everything,

i guarantee you will regret selling it, there is not one of us on the forums that have sold a classic car when we were young and looked back and said we did the right thing!

On one hand, I miss my 67, first car and first Mustang, but I have owned 13 since then and am VERY happy with my 70, so it's hard to regret selling it; it got me to where I am.

What I DO regret is passing on a 70 AAR Cuda for $2500...
