well the lower you can get to the ground the better handling you will have (for obvious reasons).

mid-eye's are by definition a 1" drop. reverse-eye being 1.5". 4.5 leafs are a nice ride imo. if the roads were a little better around here i probably woulda liked 5 leafs cause i like a stiff ride (thats what she said) but for a DD 4.5s are nice

Thanks for the info man, I always wondered what the difference was when it came to ride height and handling.

Now that is what you call adjustable ride front springs.

Hell yeah almost as good as adjustable coil overs. When you want to change the ride height just loosen up those fancy brackets and give one half of the spring a turn or two. You probably have a good 4" of adjustment in those babies.

Remember that those numbers are drops from the stock position with new top eye four leaf springs. If you have 40 year old springs, a mid eye may actually raise your car from where it is now b/c your springs are sagging and worn out. 4.5 springs are actually pretty stiff compared to stock 4 leafs. Unless you are going for performance and sacrifice ride quality, I would not go with 4.5s and I would probably never go with 5 leaf springs on anything for the street. If/When you add a rear sway bar and traction bars, those 4.5 springs get really stiff.
