Default 68 Coupe Window/Door problem

Hey everyone. I am new to this site and I bought a 68 Coupe about 2 weeks ago. Although the car is in good shape overall, it still needs some serious TLC. One of the things that I need to correct right away is the that the when the driver's side door is closed, the window does not rest against the weatherstripping. It comes out about 1/8" +, allowing wind to get in and (potentially) water to get in the car if it were out in the rain. The window is on the track correctly and does roll up and down and the door is properly aligned. Also, I know the weatherstripping needs replacement (it looks original), but putting new weatherstripping won't close up the gap that much.

Does anyone have any thoughts about adjustments that I can make to allow the window to go to the correct position, sealing out the wind and rain or what I can do to fix the problem?

sounds like the window regulator is broken or needs adjustment.

take the door panel off and look at the tracks.

To me it sounds like the rear bracket for the door glass isn't tipped enough inward.
