Default coupe/convertibel firewall forward

a friend of mine restored a 67 convertible, 3 days after its completion and paint job was done, a friend "borrowed" it, minus permission, and wrecked it in the front, the rails of the engine bay are crinkled in....

today while at the junkyard for work, a 67 coupe came in on a flatbed for u-pull it, this car will be destroyed in 3 days from the vultures that go there, so i am going tomorrow morning for parts for mine, a few friends, and with my friend with the wreck, IF a coupe is the same from the firewall forward, as a convertible

I've still got the front end off my coupe. Anyone who wants to come haul it off is welcome to it. I'm not sure what all your buddy needs but here is what I have. Maryland isnt too far away but I dont know if it would be worth the trip. Just thought I would through it out there.

well, we arent trying to circle the globe here =D
plus frame sections are only 15 a foot so that would only be like 80 bucks

but would that front fit a convertible?

To my knowledge there is no difference between the front frame rails of a coupe, convertible or fastback. The repro frame rails are about $90 a piece so that may be a better route to take than trying to salvage the rails from an old run down coupe.

I dont know the extent of the damage but you may want to grab the whole front end like what I have pictured so you dont have to worry about getting everything lined back up.

hey stangtjk do you have a pic of the car with those rims on it. I have a donor exploder sitting in my driveway that has those rims on it. I was thinking about pulling them off.

Yeah here is a pic with the ranger rims. I just put them on because I had a set laying around. This is when my car was still in one piece and driveable lol.

thanks stang. those look better than what came on my car. I might have to rip them off the exploder for a temporary set up.
