Default 1965 suggestions

Hey Yall
I plan to start working on my 1965 coupe. The car is totally torn down with nothing left on it except the wheels. The body is in really good shape with minor rust in the floor pans and a little here and there the size of your finger. I am wondering what color do yall think would look the best. Im thinking a pepsi blue or a dark metallic gray with black interior. I want to lower it about two inches and drop a 302 in it which I already have. Car wont be nothing to fast but have my ideas about the motor. Sorry for the book. Post up some pics if you have em

65 Coupes rock! I would highly recommend you take a look under the car first. Suspension/steering and brakes would be the way to start. You gotta keep in mind just how old these components are. There is a ton of ways to go with suspension or brakes. You can do a basic stock replacement front and rear suspension and steering for under a grand from places like Mustangs Plus. Their Super Starter kit give you most everything you will need to rebuil your suspension and steering. You can upgrade as needed depending on what you want to do with the car.

As far as brakes there is the Granada Versallies swap, SSBC, Chokostang (sp?), Street or Track, Wilwood and a ton of other companies again you can choose to suit your purpose for the car.

Addressing these areas will not only make your car safer but also much more enjoyable to drive. Keep us updated on your project.
