Now i got you. I found out there are two y-connectors. one is yellow with balck, the one i put a square around, and another red and blue one, on the diagram its bellow the speaker, which is the one in my picture of the harness. I assume that i plug the blue/red wire from the radio into the blue/red y connector, and the blk yelw wire into the black ylw connector? ill put up a picture for what i think it is.

That Yellow 3-way connector is KEYED Power so yes the radio power wire plugs into that one.

Ford was very smart with their wiring and that is continued for years and some where changed because of expanding needs

Each wire that is of a certain make-up is for a unique purpose.

ie:

Green/yellow stripe is courtesy lighting (glove box, vanity mirror,Underdash courtesy lights

Solid Brown is driving lights (License plate,tail-lights,front parking lights

Red with black stripe being for power to brake lights, cruise control shut down.

Yellow/Black for always hot or Keyed hot .. (Horn,Radio, etc)

This make it easy for people with a good memory and an understanding Ford's Plug In Play into the main harness.. for options, etc
