Default c4 questions

Ok I've got a c4 pan-fill transmission sitting around. I've also got a a pump mount 157 bellhousing and a converter and flexplate to match. Can I mount the bellhousing on the pump of the c4 and use this setup or will it not work correctly since the c4 in suppose to have the case mount bellhousing? I think it'll look wierd with the 157 bellhousing on there but will it work?

The pan filled case is what they call a "flair" case which mainlt came in trucks and vans. The case filled dipstick is called the "step" case which came in the cars. The two torque converters are different lengths. You can tell which one is for what trans because of the bolt pattern. The flair case has a 11 7/16" bolt pattern and the step case has a 10 1/2". Do not mix them!!!

hey just wondering, is there a bellhousing for the case mounts that let you use a 157T setup?
