Default Recognize these wheels?

I am doin a remi-resto-mod on my 65 Fastback. When I fond this beauty (parked for over 10 years it had these wheels on it. They appear to be 2 piece magnesium on Steel back wheels. They look like American racing but I can not find a stamp. i want to have them repaired/polished for the nostalgic look. Anybody can ID let me know. And any recomendations for restoring them will help too. I am in So Cal. Here are some pictures. Thanks Ryan

It would be easier to just buy new rims, since yours aren't rare (they look like AR Torque Thrusts), but they're cool mags. If you want to restore them, bristle brush them with a wheel brush (use wheel cleaner) just to take off the dirt and brake dust, then restore/remove the rust electrolically, one wheel at a time. Then you can send them out to be chromed, paint all or part of them, or just steel wool them and clear them. The rear of the wheel should be painted argent or black after they're cleaned up since derusting will expose the steel.

I'm no expert, but that's what I've done. I restored a bunch of old rims. My car alone has seen 9 sets.

Default thanks

I realize they arent rare I just thought it would be cool to have another set of nostalgic rims with maybe some 14 inch redline tires? I already have 17" wheels and tires for the resto. I think i will try the Steel wool method I may even paint them flat black to match thhe hood and tail panel. Ryan

Not an expert, but if you removed the rust electronically, wouldn't you produce electrolysis between the steel and the magnesium?

Clean and Powder coat the wheels. Cheaper then rechroming and better durability then paint.

Default Powder coat

Powder Coat is prob what i will do. I was hoping to clean the lip like the old AR's and darken up the center, but PC may be the way to go on these old dogs! Ry

Depends on how bad you want to re-use them! If I were you, I would just buy new ones!
