Default help: slip yoke damage

slipe yoke has now got some damage along with the T5 do to running it wayyyy too hard.. now i need a replacement and wondering if some are better than others or are they all the same?
it would be a 28 spline since i have it running with a WC T5 correct?
what is the difference between 1310 and 1330 u-joint or are they all the same?

The stock drive shaft uses 1310 U joints in the early Mustangs. The Late model Mustangs with a T5 slip yoke use 1330 which has the same size bearing cap but is wider on width to fit the yoke.
If you are using a standard driveshaft and a T5 yoke, you will need to get a combination U joint with 1310 and 1330 to match it up.

But remember, the driveshaft will only be as strong as the weakest point. Beefing up the slip yoke will not help the 1310 on the back that connects to the 3rd member.

You're SO right about the weakest point on the driveshaft being the u-joints. If you're running it too hard and are having problems, now would be the time to look into up-grading to 1350 series joints and have the shaft checked out and re-balanced at the same time.

WC T5 are 28 spline output shaft. correct.
Yokes for that you get all over the place (moderndriveline.com, NPD (same ones) ... and several other mustang plus dealers).

As for the U-joints
Ford SB V8s use most commonly 1310, which are 3-1/4" length (3.240") on each axis and the cap diameter (be careful) are either 1-1/16" or 1-1/8"
So 1310 is not the same as 1310. You need to measure correctly and order the correct one.

Then there is the stronger 1330 u-joint. The cap is 1-1/8" (like the bigger 1310), but the length is 3-5/8" (3.650 exact i believe).

There's a conversion u-joint for this should you ever need one, but I am not a fan of having mixed length axis joints. That's askin for vibration

you can see in the picture what I mean. In case you wonder why there's 2 extra cups. I believe it's to match either 1-1/16" or 1-1/8" for the 1310 side. so it will match no matter what 1310 you have.

the 1350 is 1-3/16" cup diameter and same length as 1330 (3-5/8").

1310 is usually used for SBF and 1330/1350 for BBF
