may i ask what program you are using? i have always wanted to make models of cars but never found a program to do it with, and that may come useful for me in coming up with a design for my own car

That was done in google sketchup, its free and fairly simple to use but it has a limited tool set compared to something like Autodesk Maya and it doesn't have a built in rendering program so you would have to export your model to something else to do a render or buy one of the plugins. But like I said its free so its a good program to start with until you get the hang of it.

Played around with the model a little more today. I stole some rims from another model and tried modeling my hood scoop.

That would be soooooo sick if it was a fastback, you should have converted it since you replaced the quarter panels anyways.......but o well your car looks very nice good job, just wished I could download you and upload you into my life ROFL

I thought about it at one time but being a college student I don't have the cash. The quarter skins were only $200 it would have cost 10x that to convert it to a fastback. I want something different anyway so I'm thinking about cutting the top and making a removable hardtop.

It takes a while to get used to it. Yes I downloaded a model and worked from it. I'm not good enough yet to do the whole car. I got my model from here http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/ Search for mustang and a lot of models will come up. The ones for coupes weren't very good so I modified a fastback.

For the most part that is how the project has remained since August. Over spring break sale I got a chance to do a few things.

I couldn’t use the stock tank so I welded up my own to be used with the Mark VIII in tank pump.

I also built a custom hood scoop over break.

The last thing I did before I left for college was finish up the rear section of frame under the trunk floor.

I am also planning to build my own custom hood scoop. I heard there some extended spring break sale in my friend's town.
