Ok, so body work is almost done. Painter needs to know what color I am going to paint my '66 Coupe. I need help.

I am looking for more the restomod look, not orginal classic. Again, '66 Coupe.

I believe I have narrowed it down to the following choices:

1.) Black
2.) Black with Gray Stripes
3.) Gray with Black Stripes
4.) Silver with Black Stripes

I want the muscle car look. Total restomod. I do like black on black, but haven't seen a lot of photos except for concours black. Yes, I looked all over the net, ebay, etc and have tons of pics except for the choices I really want.

So....if anyone has any pics of the above in a '65-'66 Coupe....I'D LOVE to see your ride!!!!

I think the silver/black stripes is getting way over done because of eleanor, even though it does look sweet. I would go with just a straight black or the black with silver stripes. A member here did the black with silver stripes on his fastback and it looks really really nice.

 

Silver and blue


Black and red look cool if you have a red interior.

 

Silver and blue reminds me of the skyline from 2fast 2 furious. Think Shelby tried to copy to make the KR look good.

 

well if he's putting the finishing touches on bodywork, tell him black, then decide what you want...
if he's not done body work and is asking, its so if you want black it needs done better, and i assume you want the best
but if you are going to paint now, and its not cause of that
i say black with grey

Black and gray are getting so abused they are practically dating Chris Brown. Black and silver and gray are the new red; by a large margin.

 

umm silver is played out.. dont paint it silver!!!!!
